Food Pantry LAX

Food Pantry, LAX is an emergency food resource for low-income clients in Inglewood, Westchester, El Segundo, Hawthorne, and portions of Los Angeles. Our policy is to provide food for 2 days or six meals to our clients. Clients may come to the Pantry once per week.

La Food Bank

Pantry distribution dates and times are subject to change. Please call the pantry to verify that this information is current. Most pantries serve according to the geographical service area. Food pantry clients should bring photo identification with them to the pantry. The identification should show the client’s current residential address. Some pantries have an application process and ask clients for documents supporting income. However, all clients will be served the first time regardless of the completion of the application and service area.

Special Education Guidance for COVID-19 Health Services & Schools

The United States is currently experiencing a pandemic emergency due to the threat of novel coronavirus (COVID-19). On March 13, 2020, Governor Newsom signed Executive Order N-26-20 requiring the California Department of Education (CDE) to issue guidance on several topics, including ensuring students with disabilities (SWD) receive a free appropriate public education (FAPE) consistent with their individualized education program (IEP) and meeting other procedural requirements under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and California law. Initial guidance on services to students with disabilities was provided on March 20, 2020.

Enhanced Emergency Shelter Program (Transitional Youth)

Meals, toiletries, case management, linkage, mental health services, transportation, assistance with transitional or permanent housing. The length of stay is up to 36 nights.

Foothill Family Shelter

Foothill Family Shelter is a nonprofit organization founded in 1984 which houses homeless adults and children for a period of up to 120 days, free of rent and utility charges. We also provide one-year transitional housing as well as permanent housing. The Foothill Family Shelter began as St. Mark's Homeless Shelter and currently serves as a transitional facility for homeless adults and children from the west end of San Bernardino County and the east end of Los Angeles County. The Shelter has 7 two-bedroom apartments that are fully furnished and offered free for a maximum of 120 days. We also provide 12- two-bedroom apartments for transitional housing and 8- two-bedroom apartments for extended housing.  Service Areas: Upland, Ontario, Montclair, Pomona, Claremont, and Rancho Cucamonga. Proof of residency is required for all services.

San Bernardino Homeless Outreach Support Team (HOST)

Homeless Outreach Support Team (HOST) provides outreach and engagement services to individuals and their families in an effort to obtain permanent supportive housing. Wrap around services are provided by case managers to assist the individuals to maintain housing and become resilient in the community. Services include outreach, intensive case management, advocacy, and empowerment for self-sufficiency, as well as linkage and referrals. HOST collaborates with the Sheriff’s Homeless Outreach Proactive Enforcement (HOPE) team to conduct outreach events, go out into the field, and engage the most difficult and hard to reach clients.
